the artist, nicole hagen, is an acquaintence of mine, and i'm blown away by her work... and by the fact that she's only 23. i can't even imagine what her work will look like in another 20 or 30 years, but i can't wait to see...

For Nicole Hagen's first solo show ever, she has produced a number of new drawings, watercolors, and oil paintings. Inspired by fantasies from girlhood, playing dress-up, b-movies, and the occult, she explores the tropes of feminine subjectivity in her realistic renderings. June 9 through July 31, Edo Salon.
